Leominster Wastewater Facility

The public-private partnership between the City of Leominster, Massachusetts and Veolia Water is one of the oldest partnerships in the United States. More impressive is their track record for safety and innovation. Veolia operates and maintains the wastewater and water treatment services for the City, and there have been zero Lost Time Accidents in over 25 years. Very few facilities can boast such an achievement in the United States or Canada. The partnership is proud of their ability to work together to simplify project management reducing costs, time, and risks through an Engineering-Procurement-Construction-Management (EPCM) approach. The partnership was able to cut the engineering costs by 45% of the original estimates with the rehabilitation of the Notown Water Treatment plant, saving the city $3.5 million. Additionally, the partnership saves the City about $300,000 annually. Read More at Ncppp
